Product details:

by Artist Jack Terry and Northwest Art Mall. Jack Terry is a Texas artist who specializes in western art but has also captured landscapes worldwide. Many of Terry's paintings are inspired by the places that he has visited and the people that he has met. Jack's love for the ranching and cowboy way of life and his love of art can be attributed to his grandparents. Jack's grandmother was a painter who vividly captured the people and landmarks of Texas, while his grandfather was a rancher and cowboy who rode on some of the last great cattle drives out West. Jack spent his childhood immersed in both worlds and continues to spend time with ranchers and cowboys to this day. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, Terry took every opportunity to work on ranches; work that he says inspired him with ideas of which to paint. At the time of his graduation, he already had paintings displayed in galleries throughout Texas. At age 26, Terry was named bicentennial Artist in Texas and later was the featured artist for the San Antonio Livestock Show and Exposition for four years in a row. Jack Terry's paintings hang in prominent locations including the King Ranch, the ranch where his grandfather drove cattle and inspired his favorite painting "If It Weren't For bad Luck", and the Lyndon B. Johnson Library. His paintings are also collected by Burt Reynolds, Dick Clark, Travis Tritt, Governor Ann Richards, and President George W. Bush.
